在笔者的印象里，中国律师界有的律师是前法官、前检察官、前公安、前老师等等不一而足，而从教授转行做律师，尤其从国际法教授转行做涉外律师，且取得如此重大成就的，慕亚平律师确是蛮突出的一位。那么，让我们先来认识一下今天的主人公——广东广信君达律师事务所高级合伙人慕亚平。

慕亚平是河南滑县人，系中共党员，中山大学法学院教授，研究生导师，中国法学会国际经济法学会副会长，司法部全国千名涉外律师人才，广东省涉外律师领军人才库成员，全国首批“学习强国”法治宣传专家成员，广东省律师协会航空法专业委员会主任。

一位成就卓著的国际法教授

慕亚平律师是伴随改革开放的步伐，通过高考以优异成绩于1978年考入并毕业于被誉为法学“黄埔军校”的西南政法学院，为支援兄弟院校被分配到同为“五院四系”的西北政法学院担任国际法教师，1994年乘“南巡”东风，进入南中国最高学府——中山大学教授任教。从事国际法、国际经济法、涉外暨涉港澳经济法的教学与研究。

慕亚平教授科研成果丰厚，曾主持多项国家级“八五”“九五”和“十五”规划课题及部省级课题，以及出版著述40多本，个人撰写400多万字，在《法学研究》《中国法学》《法学评论》《现代法学》《法律科学》等重要学术期刊上发表论文100余篇。

一位硕果累累的涉外律师

在从事国际法教学、科研的同时，慕亚平还担任兼职律师，尤其对代理涉外、涉港澳民商事的案件情有独钟。2016年，慕亚平在大学办理退休手续后，将工作关系转到律师事务所，成为一家知名律师事务所的高级合伙人，并很快组建了专业的律师团队。

为响应国家提升涉外高端法律服务的战略要求，以慕亚平为首的律师团队积极为国家“一带一路”建设及粤港澳大湾区战略提供法律服务。尤其近年来，慕亚平律师团队办理了大量有重大影响的涉外、涉港澳民商事案件，特别是在国际航空业务纠纷方面取得了颇具影响的业绩。如：全国首例国际航空器留置权纠纷案——广州白云国际机场股份有限公司诉美国通用电气商业航空服务有限公司（GECAS）航空器留置权案；全国第一起涉“一带一路”建设案——广州白云国际机场股份有限公司诉泰国暹罗航空公司航空服务合同纠纷案；广州白云国际机场股份有限公司诉俄罗斯维姆航空公司航空服务合同纠纷案； 广州飞机维修工程有限公司与泰国东方航空公司航空器维修合同纠纷系列案；美国ALC公司诉广州飞机维修工程有限公司侵害赔偿案等，均取得令人满意的胜诉结果，并在国内外产生重大影响。

此外，诉讼标的高达10亿元的东莞市永发置业有限公司与广东海煌投资实业发展有限公司债务纠纷仲裁案；中国建设银行诉阳江市国阳公司合作开发房地产纠纷案；范冰冰诉广州市高姿化妆品有限公司侵权纠纷案；广州铬德工程有限公司诉广州市水务局污泥处理BOT项目合同纠纷仲裁案，均产生较大社会影响。

慕亚平律师团队除为政府、央企、国企提供法律服务外，在航空法领域也进行了大量的法律研究和服务，如为白云机场、广州飞机维修公司、南方航空公司、广州空港公司等提供了大量优质的法律服务。

据了解，慕亚平还担任中国国际经济贸易仲裁委员会、中国国际经济贸易仲裁委员会上海分会、华南国际经济贸易仲裁委员会、广州仲裁委员会、深圳仲裁委员会等仲裁机构的仲裁员，处理了大量涉外、涉港澳案件。

慕亚平无论在进行国际法教学还是从事律师实务执业均取得优异成绩，他曾获得美国安泰奖励金奖、日本世川良一奖教金奖、广东省政府奖、广东省精神文明建设“五个一工程”奖、广东省法学会20年法学研究优秀成果奖、第二届“一带一路·合规之路”十佳律师奖以及优秀法律服务案例奖。其承办案件的案例多件荣获中华全国律师协会、广东省律师协会、广州市律师协会的奖励。

Mu Yaping is from Hua County, Henan Province. He is a Party Member of the Communist Party of China, a Professor at the Sun Yat-sen University School of Law, a Graduate Student Supervisor, the Vice President of the International Economic Law Society of China Law Society, Member of Thousands of Lawyers Handling Foreign-related Cases of the Ministry of Justice in China, Member of the Leading Talent Pool for Lawyers Handling Foreign-related Cases in Guangdong Province, Member of the first batch of national "Xuexi Qiangguo" rule of law publicity experts, and Director of Aviation Law Professional Committee of Guangdong Lawyers Association.

A professor of international law with outstanding achievements

With the pace of reform and opening up, Mr. Mu Yaping passed the National College Entrance Examination with excellent results and was admitted to and graduated from Southwest University of Political Science & Law in 1978, which is known as the "Whampoa Military Academy" of law. In order to support the peer college, he was assigned to Northwest University of Political Science and Law, which also belongs to "five colleges and four departments", as an international law teacher. In 1994, riding the east wind of "Southern Tour", he entered Sun Yat-sen University, the highest institution of higher learning in southern China, as a teacher. He was engaged in the teaching and research of international law, international economic law, foreign-related and Hong Kong and Macao-related economic law.

Professor Mu Yaping has made great achievements in scientific research. He presided over a number of national "Eighth Five-Year Plan", "Ninth Five-Year Plan" and "Tenth Five-Year Plan" projects and ministerial and provincial projects. He also published more than 40 books, personally written more than 4 million characters, and published more than 100 papers in important academic journals such as Chinese Journal of Law, China Legal Science, Law Review, Modern Law Science and Science of Law.

A lawyer handling foreign-related cases with numerous significant achievements

While engaged in international law teaching and scientific research, Mu Yaping also works as a part-time lawyer, and is particularly interested in representing foreign-related, Hong Kong and Macao-related civil and commercial cases. After completing retirement procedures at the university in 2016, Mu Yaping transferred his working relationship to a law firm and became a senior partner in a well-known law firm, where he quickly established a professional team of lawyers.

In addition, the arbitration case of debt dispute between Dongguan Yongfa Real Estate Co., Ltd. and Guangdong Haihuang Investment Industrial Development Co., Ltd., with the litigation object as high as RMB 1 billion; China Construction Bank sued Yangjiang Guoyang Company for cooperative development of real estate dispute; Fan Bingbing sued Guangzhou Gaozi Cosmetics Co., Ltd. for infringement dispute; Guangzhou Gede Engineering Co., Ltd. sued Guangzhou Water Authority for arbitration of contract dispute of sludge treatment BOT project, which all had great social influence.

Mu Yaping's team of lawyers not only provides legal services for the government, central enterprises and state-owned enterprises, but also conducts a lot of legal research and services in the field of aviation law. For instance, they have provided a large number of high-quality legal services for Baiyun Airport, Guangzhou Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Co., Ltd., China Southern Airlines and Guangzhou Aerotropolis Company.

He has won the American Aetna Award Gold Award, the Japanese Ryoichi Sasakawa Award Gold Award, the Guangdong Provincial Government Award, the Guangdong Provincial Spiritual Civilization Construction "Five 'One' Projects" Award, the Guangdong Province Law Society's 20-year Outstanding Achievement Award for Legal Research, the 2nd "the Belt and Road · Compliance Road" Top Ten Lawyers Award and the Excellent Legal Service Case Award. Many cases he undertook won awards from All China Lawyers Association, Guangdong Lawyers Association and Guangzhou Lawyers Association.

Whether as a teacher or a lawyer, it can be said that Mu Yaping has successfully completed the successful transformation from a professor of international law to a lawyer handling foreign-related cases.
